Holy Cross and St. Augustine's share a celebration

Very Special Reunion.
 This year the Annual Feast Day Mass will be held on Friday 9th September at 7.00 pm in the new St Augustine's High School,208 Broomhouse Road, Edinburgh, EH12 9AD(Holy Cross Academy became St Augustine's High in 1969). All FPs are invited to attend this special occasion when a memorial Candle Tree,which was commissioned by the FPs for the new Oratory, will be dedicated and presented to the School. This will be followed at 8.00pm by a Reception which includes a buffet and wine.Tickets are £8 per person. For those who are interested in seeing round the new school, tours will be available from 6.00 pm and 8.00pm. It will also be possible to see the HCA War Memorial which is now in place in the new school. There is a choice of car parking and public transport to the school (click here to view map). The 22 bus passes the back entrance to the school on S. Gyle Access Road every 10 minutes while the 2, 12 and 21 run every 20-30 minutes.
On 14 September St Augustine's school Award Ceremony will include the presentation of the first annual Citizenship award funded by Holy Cross FPs through the sale of Norah Carlin's book and Richard Demarco’s prints. Sir Francis McWilliams will be presenting all the awards on the day of the Holy Cross feast. Although this is a school event we can be there in spirit.
